About:

Asha Ram Meghwal is an Indian Miniature Artist who was born into a farmer family from the Nagaur District, Rajasthan in November 1960. Asha Ram’s interest in art, encouraged him to leave his family house at an early age and move to Jaipur to learn the art of Miniature paintings. In Jaipur, he trained under various masters including Durgeshji, Kripal Singh and Nathulalji. For his tiring efforts and excellent craftsmanship, in 2001, he was awarded the National Award in Miniature painting by the Government of India and has since then achieved a lot of awards for his outstanding work.
